Oswald starts with a serpentine hill climb up the mountain. (800ft Increase) The road up is rutted and washed out but does not require 4x4. Once you are on the ridge, the road is briefly paved for about a mile until returning to gravel/dirt again. There are many pull offs and side roads to explore the ridge and enjoy the view. The road is once again rutted with rocks sticking up from the ground. 4x4 is not required, but airing down may make your ride more enjoyable. Be weary of the large puddles, one of them was about 12 inches deep, and might as well been a water crossing. It was also a rainy day. Once you arive to the Northern edge of the trail there is a road for the Oswald Dome Overlook (Short little hike). At the intersection for the overlook there are three little, but very fun hillclimbs. They appear to be easy, medium, and hard. 3/10 difficulty.
