Trail Overview

This trail is a service road across Chilhowee mountain that is approximately 10 miles and will take about an hour to travel without stops. The road is well maintained with some rocky surfaces with potential low-hanging trees. An easy route for a day drive through the mountains. Under typical conditions, it is passible by almost any vehicle.

clear, dry, 2wd all the way. some ground clearance is needed. plan on a hour for the 10 miles.

I really enjoy this trail. It’s the perfect balance of drive time, not too long or short. I’d give it a solid 3 in terms of difficulty. There is just enough challenge to make it fun, but not too much to where you can damage your car if you have a 4x4 in my opinion. A very fun trail! It did get a little washed out during our latest storms so you might find some challenge but nothing you shouldn't be able to do. Lots of pretty views and wildlife! To any beginners I definitely recommend this trail!
