Trail Overview
Porcupine Creek starts at the Porcupine Creek Trailhead on Porcupine Road off Highway 191. It starts going through flat meadows, and small creek crossings and gets more difficult as it goes east, following the Porcupine Creek. It does some side-hilling along the creek, with moderate exposure, and has to go through a bunch of blown-out mud puddles and bogs. The trail is pretty wide, with braided lines in the meadows, and wide through the root sections in the forest. It has some tricky climbs due to the embedded rocks and roots. After about 6 miles, it ends at the intersection with Ramshorn Lake Trail. This trail is open 7/16 - 9/4 for motorized use.

Difficulty
This trail is an intermediate difficulty due to several rocky and rooty sections that are jarring and tiring, and lots of rutted, chopped-up mud bogs.
