Trail Overview
Yucca Road - FS 359 starts near a small cluster of houses before quickly transitioning into a quiet pine forest, following a well-defined dirt road that drops roughly 600 feet in elevation over gentle terrain. Once past the residential area, the trail opens into more natural ground with tall pines, scattered aspens, and long sightlines through the trees. In winter, snow tends to linger in shaded sections while exposed areas melt down to red dirt, creating mixed traction along the route. A shallow water crossing--often frozen or muddy depending on the season--is the main feature to watch for, but overall the trail remains easy and non-technical. It's a beginner-friendly, quick out-and-back that also serves as a connector to more challenging trails, including nearby dirt bike and ATV routes.

Difficulty
Difficulty is rated easy under normal conditions, with a wide, well-maintained dirt surface and minimal obstacles. Seasonal factors like snow, ice, or mud can make sections a bit slick, but nothing that significantly increases technical difficulty. Overall, it's very beginner-friendly and forgiving for most high-clearance vehicles.
