Trail Overview
This 2.3-mile intermediate/advanced single-track trail is a very rocky and rooty climb from south to north, gaining 1,300 feet from bottom to top. On the south side, it starts off of the jeep road (Gold Creek Road) and goes past a huge boulder field before entering a lush pine tree forest with lots of moisture in the dirt, and thus good traction. It goes through a couple of small creek crossings that are easy and then has several big boulders in the trail all throughout the route. There are rock pinches and big roots, and a reroute around a huge downed tree with slick roots that you have to get over. There are some sections with mild exposure as it side-hills across a mountainside. Overall it's a fun challenge, and is easier going downhill. The north end of the trail connects to Cameron Gulch and the northern section of Gold Creek.
