Trail Overview

The west side of this ATV trail starts at the intersection with Embargo, on a flat grassy saddle above 12k feet as a dirt two-track. As it descends from the saddle, it enters the pine trees and starts to have more embedded rock, with bigger rocks jutting out from the surface. It drops down into a creek drainage with more loose rock in the trail, downed logs, and a shallow creek crossing. The trail has several rockier sections that are more challenging, with big embedded boulders, and steep hills that are full of loose rocks. It drops almost 2,000 feet in elevation over 5 miles and ends at the La Garita Creek ATV trail. This one would be a good challenge for a newer rider due to all the rocky sections.
