Trail Overview

Easy trail with beautiful views. 4WD is recommended especially after snowfall. This trail leads to Gold Camp Road. Take switchbacks with caution, as they can become narrow and on-coming traffic can be difficult to see. The last mile or so is the most rutted with some larger rocks to get over.

Lots of people out today since it's nice. Trail is clear all the way to Cripple Creek but is loaded ruts, washboards, and deep muddy potholes, especially in the middle section. Slow going.

Only a little slushy and slick in a few spots, but much cleaner on side of Cripple Creek. Saw maybe 3 other vehicles out there. An easy and relaxing drive.

easy drive but don't drive like an idiot. Passed someone getting towed out of the ditch and passed several spots where people had been stuck previously
