Trail Overview
Lake Audy Road is an easy gravel trail in Riding Mountain National Park that takes you through rolling forest and prairie landscapes to one of the park's highlights -- the Lake Audy Bison Enclosure. Here, you can drive through a massive fenced pasture and get up-close views of a free-roaming bison herd from your vehicle. The trail continues toward Lake Audy itself, and for an extra side quest, you can detour to the historic Lake Audy Dam, where the Little Saskatchewan River begins. Bison are wild animals. Do not approach them. Within the enclosure, do not leave your vehicle. You may be fined. A permit is needed to enter Riding Mountain National Park by vehicle.
