Trail Overview
Naka Creek Road, also known as Naka Main, is accessed via Eve River Main and begins climbing almost immediately from the junction. The road is a compact dirt and gravel surface, somewhat bumpy in places - airing down slightly can improve comfort and traction. The trail width is tight, barely accommodating two vehicles in most sections. After an initial climb to around 115 meters, the route briefly flattens out before continuing to fluctuate between elevations up to 160 meters, eventually descending to near sea level over the course of 7 kilometers. The elevation changes make for a dynamic drive with rolling terrain. Drivers should use caution as this is an active radio-controlled logging area, and log trucks have the right of way. Several stretches of the trail hug the coastal hillsides, occasionally running along cliffside edges -- adding dramatic views and the need for extra vigilance. Though the trail runs parallel to the ocean inlet, views of the water are rare and typically come in brief glimpses between thick vegetation and trees. There are a few dispersed campsites along the way, and spur roads such as Naka Road and Tsitika Trail offer additional exploration opportunities.

Difficulty
While not technically challenging, the combination of elevation changes, narrow road width, logging traffic, and cliffside sections warrants careful driving. This trail is suitable for stock high-clearance vehicles with some off-pavement experience.
