Trail Overview
The drive to Boot Lake winds through an eerie stretch of Vancouver Island forest, where dense second-growth, moss-covered trunks, and dark understory give the road a quiet, almost forgotten feel. Light filters through the canopy as the landscape shifts between old cutblocks and regenerating timber. Boot Lake itself sits tucked deep in the forest. At 105 feet deep and 212 acres, Boot Lake is home to a wonderful, healthy trout fishery.
