Trail Overview

Joe May Road is an uphill, rocky road to the mountainside that ends at a rudimentary campsite. There's a nice hike back into the mountain where the road ends. Watch out for desert tortoises and beautiful desert sunset views. No real obstacles except for some small hills and an uneven, bumpy ride.

Easy drive off Alamo trail. Lots of gravel n rocks but any standard 4 WD should be fine maybe even higher clearance car. Beautiful views of flowers n cactus’s flowerings So quiet at end of trail you’ll be surprised when you get to top n turn around how high you went. Just so peaceful and most likely you’ll be the only ones up there. Walking trailhead at top but we just enjoyed view.
