When you call or email for product support or to share a hunting story, these are the folks that answer. As we head into the season, know that our Montana-based crew is here to help.

When you reach out to onX for product support or to share a hunting story, these are the folks that answer. They’re the ones who, throughout the wild year of 2020 and into 2021, have juggled answering calls and emails while working from home, with dogs and kids in the background. The team members who walk you through your app questions when you call in, who spend the time digging into problems and concerns.

Our Customer Experience team is onX, and as we head into the season, know that our Montana-based crew is here to help.

In addition to all the product features and engineering wizardry that set onX Hunt apart from the competition, we have an exceptional group of people doing the work. With offices in Missoula and Bozeman, you can be assured that when you give us a call to ask a question about the Hunt App or tell us your ideas for how we could improve the product, you’ll be talking to real people who are passionate about the outdoors and care deeply about ensuring your needs are met.

Things are about to get busy for our Customer Experience team, so we caught up with some of the crew to learn about their interests, gather tips on how to get the most out of onX Hunt and hear some of their favorite hunting stories. These folks know onX Hunt better than anyone, and their commitment to world-class customer service is unrivaled.

Some of our team was too deep into their work of answering customer calls and emails to chat with us for this blog, but the folks who did represent the spirit and tenacity of the onX Customer Experience team.

Name, Title: Cody Strong, Customer Experience Technician

Hometown: Billings, Montana

If you’re not manning onX phones, what can we find you doing? When I’m not assisting customers I am out hunting or fishing. Fly fishing is a huge passion of mine, so if there isn’t an open hunting season then I am out fly fishing whether it’s sunny, snowing, or raining.

What drew you to the onX Customer Experience team? One of the best parts of working at onX on the Customer Experience team is getting to hear directly from customers both about the product itself and how they are using it. There are so many cool uses for the App and some pretty amazing stories to go along with those uses.

Favorite outdoor snack: Homemade wild game jerky. I grew up on goose jerky so that is always a favorite if I had to pick an animal.

Name, Title: Torry Bishop, Customer Experience Technician

Hometown: Great Falls, Montana

If you’re not manning onX phones, what can we find you doing? When I’m not helping onX customers I’m typically hanging out with my young family, playing with the dogs, or at a backyard gathering with friends. If it’s football season you’ll find me yelling for the Green Bay Packers. Go Pack!

What drew you to the onX Customer Experience team? It’s great helping customers better understand their membership and help them work through any issues they may be having, whether it’s an issue with the App not working correctly or just helping them understand how a Layer or function works. It’s great getting them to that “Ah ha!” moment. It’s also super rewarding talking to customers who have such a love for the outdoors. Their stories about how onX helped them out of a jam when they were lost in the woods, how we helped them bag a trophy, or just hearing the general happiness of how we help them explore is always a welcome phone call or email to read.

Favorite outdoor snack: I remember hunting with my dad as a kid and we’d always toss some leftover Halloween candy in our packs. Because it’s Montana, most of the time they’d be frozen when it came time to eat them. So I’d have to say a frozen “100 Grand” snack bar might be my favorite snack not just because it’s an underrated candy bar but because of the memories it stirs up of those frozen mountainsides with my dad.
