Trail Overview
Deeply rutted, winding, single vehicle width with turnouts. This road winds through some beautiful eastern Washington forests, up at least 2 canyons, and then climbs along a shelf road to a ridgeline. The views are spectacular, but so are the ruts. It's hard to capture photos of just how bad the ruts on this road are, particularly as some are in sections where you don't really want to stop. There were sections where I scraped skid plates at around 11" of ground clearance. The ruts are also primarily on silt, so when wet, mud tires and even higher clearance are important, particularly around the large switchback near the midpoint. No cell service, little to no camping opportunities.
