Easy road ride. Mostly forested, with some open areas where you can view the valleys and mountains. Makes for a nice 2 hour excursion ride for family outing. Road may be rutted. Hartill Meadows is a small dispersed camping area.

Access Description

At north end of Chewelah, turn on Sand Canyon Rd, proceed on paved road to Colville National Forest entrance (about 8.5 miles) where road turns to gravel. Proceed another 2.5 miles to the N. Fork Chewelah Creek Campground for parking/staging.
