Trail Overview
This forest road is gravel and dirt-based, and runs 13.3 miles from the paved Highway 602 to Forest Road 2030, which has many more split-off trails. This trail is relatively smooth with minor ruts and wash, and any vehicle type should have no issue. There is a portion where the road narrows and has a ledge as you drive along South Fork Boulder Creek, but it is still wide enough for two vehicles to pass. There are multiple cattle guards and some sharp turns, so you will need to watch your speed. You will have views of the rushing creek, rock face hills, and forested peaks. Camping is allowed along this trail, and there are many dispersed camping areas, some with pre-existing fire rings. There are no amenities along this trail, and cell phone service is weak, but from the pavement, you are approximately 20 minutes from Kettle Falls, Washington, where you will find services and supplies.
