Trail Overview
This is a hard-packed, very worn-out road that is the main in and out of the Juniper Dunes OHV area. The road itself is mostly compacted desert hardpan with sandy washes mixed in. There are long stretches of whoops that will take quads, standard 4x4s, and utility-style SXSs much longer to go through than sport SXSs and dirt bikes. There are many offshoot trails that are mostly sandy. Along the road, you will travel through areas that lead to large dunes and steep inclines and declines that have very limited visibility.

Difficulty
Four-wheel drive is not needed, but vehicles with limited travel or stock suspension will need to travel at a slower rate of speed, or you will rattle your teeth out. This is a definite area where desert-equipped SXSs excel, and dirt bikes have an easier time of navigating. The trails off the main road are not as whooped, but are all loose sand with deep sandy washes and off-camber turns with steep inclines and declines.
