This is a dirt-based forest road that gradually climbs just in front of Ramsey Peak. The trail is narrow and mostly one vehicle wide, with places to pass. The trail climbs around 950 feet in elevation over 2.5 miles, and the last push at the end is steep with a 13% pitch up loose gravel. There are minor ruts and wash, and any vehicle type could traverse this trail. The trail ends at an earth barrier, which has a large dispersed campsite as well. Camping is allowed along the entire trail. You will have a view of some surrounding peaks and of the dense forest. Cell phone service is weak, and there are no amenities along the trail. The closest services and supplies are approximately 35 minutes away in the town of Winthrop, Washington.
