This is a dirt-based forest road in the National Forest near Ramsey Peak. The trail has switchbacks and ledges as it climbs over 1,500 feet in elevation over 4.9 miles. The road gets narrow and turns to one vehicle wide with places to pass. There are two-track sections, sections of washboard, and minor ruts and wash. Overall, this is an easy trail that any vehicle type could travel. Cell phone service is weak, so it is recommended to download the offline map for the area. You will have good views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, and camping is allowed along this entire route. The trail ends in a large dispersed camping site that has a view of Ramsey Peak. There are no amenities along the trail, and you are approximately 30 minutes from the closest services and supplies in Winthrop, Washington, so travel prepared.
