Trail Overview
This single-width old forest road leads to a very secluded campsite on the edge of the Palisades Canyon. There is a shelf road, but the views aren't completely exposed. Don't wander off the trail at night in certain areas, as there are steep cliffs just yards beyond the trail's edge. This is a single-width track with a bit of mud and a lot of vegetation. If you are full-width, expect pin stripes. The secluded campsite at the end provides Incredible views of Mt. Rainier close by. At the end of the road, it becomes a much less traveled, very overgrown full-width trail that continues to skirt the edge of the canyon. Exploration beyond the end of the marked full-width road is needed.
