Trail Overview
RBW 4 is a two-way gravel road that begins where RBW 7 ends and continues up the mountain toward a gated elk hunting area. This route is wide enough for vehicles to pass in most areas and has no major obstacles along the main road. The gravel surface is generally easy to travel, making this more of a scenic access road than a technical off-road trail. The road continues climbing until it reaches a gate near the top of the mountain. This gate closes off vehicle access into the elk hunting area, so RBW 4 should be treated as an out-and-back trail. Do not drive around the gate or continue past any posted closure by vehicle. At the end of the trail, there is room to park near the gate and enjoy the mountain views. This area gives visitors a chance to look out over the surrounding terrain, take photos, and walk around where foot travel is allowed. It is also a good place to quietly watch for elk and other wildlife. Since this is an active wildlife and hunting area, visitors should pay attention to posted signs, seasonal closures, and hunting activity.

Difficulty
RBW 4 earns an easy rating because it is a wide gravel road with no major obstacles, ledges, deep ruts, or water crossings. The main things to watch for are the mountain grade, loose gravel, wildlife near the road, and the closed gate at the end of the route.
