Part of the Duck River Complex State Natural Area and Yanahli Wildlife Management Area trail system. No fee is required to drive Cheek's Bend Road. Access is open year-round. Visitors hiking in the area may optionally contribute via an online donation system available by QR code at the hiking trailhead. Cheek's Bend Road is a maintained gravel access road winding through mixed hardwood forest within the Duck River Complex. The route features gentle curves, minimal elevation change, and a consistently firm surface suitable for stock vehicles in dry conditions. The road may become slick following rainfall. The road provides access to several recreational opportunities, including the Cheek Bend Bluff View Trail hiking trailhead with adjacent parking. The nearby Duck River is a popular destination for paddling, and canoe rentals and guided group canoe runs are offered by a private outfitter operating in the area. Cell service is limited to nonexistent, and shared use with hikers, paddlers, hunters, and land managers should be expected during open seasons.
