Trail Overview

The Hall Top Spur allows access to the Hall Top Fire Tower, Big Fill Road, and Rocky Top Road from the eastern border of this section of Cherokee National Forest. The road climbs steeply from the valley and gains 500 feet of elevation in just a few miles. The lower sections have recently been reworked to widen the road and to improve the road surface. No camping is available on this particular road, but there are plenty of options in the area. Cell service is spotty along the route.

Easy simple trail. Gravel and some dirt. Passed a group of side by sides once I turned off of Big Fill side trail coming from Rocky Top. Took this trail to Hall Top Rd.

A little rutty, but not bad at all. Great place for a newby to learn off-road driving and a cool reward at the tower at the top of the trail!

Pretty Rocky but nothing a standard 4WD couldn't handle. BEWARE the unmarked trail that connects to Rocky as it's one car length wide and minimal places to turn around. There are also lots of mud holes and decent shelves to climb. Unmarked trail rating is 4/10.
