Trail Overview
Trail 5 is a short, wide connector between Trails 43 and 10, featuring deep whoops throughout its sandy surface. It runs through a dry, open ponderosa forest and offers scenic views of large, dark volcanic rock outcroppings on the eastern end. The western end passes through a staging area and picnic spot, so riders should use caution and watch for increased foot and vehicle traffic.
