Trail Overview
This narrow double-track trail provides access to the Pettiford Creek State Forest, an area surrounded by Croatan National Forest. This state forest offers miles of trails ranging from sandy double tracks to deeper mud and water crossings. This trail in particular is one of the entrances to the forest and is rather easy. It features sandy double-track, whoops, cool views, and is overall a fun trail to drive. There is potential for the sand and mud to cause unequipped cars to bog down and potentially get stuck if attempted. The trail is rather wide, though it may have a few sticks and trees that may hang into the trail so be cautious of those. Although this trail is merely a connecter to the rest of the state forest, there is a section that could become a deep mud pit with high amounts of rain. Something to note also is the state occasionally excavates some of the trails so it may change from time to time, this may cause or remove some obstacles. It is unclear if SxS, quads, or other non-street legal cars are a load on this trail system.

Difficulty
This trail is generally easy, however, the potential for mud pits to form and encroaching trees brings the level up higher. Additionally, rear-wheel drive vehicles, without proper tires could struggle if this trail was attempted due to the deep sand at times.
