Trail Overview

Experience the stunning views of northwest New Mexico's high desert on the Middle Trail, part of the Glade North network. Many of the canyon walls are multi-colored, with shades of purple, blue, reddish-orange and grey. There are also numerous rock formations. While one section earns the trail its 3-difficulty rating, it's a brief yet thrilling challenge. The rest of the trail is much easier.

Difficulty

This trail is mostly dirt and sand. It includes one section approximately half a mile long, that traverses water erosion ditches that are 12 to 18 inches deep, then in and out of a wash bottom. The last exit from the wash bottom is a pretty decent obstacle. This one section is the reason for the 3 difficulty rating. The rest of the trail is much easier.
