Trail Overview
Rockefeller Mine road is mixed surface gravel, sand, and loose rock road that runs through both Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Bureau of Land Management Government Lands. This road offers stunning views of the remote Nevada landscape, between the river in the distance to tall towering mountains, you won't be short of beauty. This area is a limited-use area, and camping is only allowed in approved areas, offroad use is not allowed unless on a designated route. There are a couple of mines to check out in this area but be advised they are unsafe, please enjoy them from a distance, and do not enter them. The road abruptly ends at a private property, there are signs, do not trespass.
