Lowell Wash Road offers a scenic and straightforward journey to the Little Arch hiking trailhead, making it a fantastic choice for those exploring this striking natural feature. This easy trail is rated as a 2 but be prepared-- the last section requires high clearance and 4x4 capabilities to navigate down into the wash. To cross and head up to Anniversary Mine. If your vehicle isn't equipped for these conditions, it's advisable to park above the wash and enjoy a pleasant hike down into the wash and up the trail to the arch instead. As you make your way along Lowell Wash Rd, you'll notice that the trail runs through a series of beautiful landscapes, with opportunities to see herds of mountain goats grazing along the sides. The scenery features stunning large rock striations, and a keen eye may even spot mine shaft openings hidden in the hillsides, hinting at the area's rich mining history. Important Note: Expect only one bar of LTE service along this route, which may not be reliable. Be sure to download your offline maps before heading out, and always prepare adequately for your desert adventure by bringing sufficient water and supplies. Do not venture into the area during the monsoon season, as flash floods can be unexpected and deadly.
