Trail Overview
Perched atop the Smoke Creek Mountains, Jackrabbit Run is an unforgettable journey across the mountain's summit and back down to the valley floor, reconnecting with the main Surprise Valley Road. This trail begins with a gentle climb up the mountain range, providing a diverse and dynamic ride experience. The terrain alternates between flat, smooth stretches--perfect for picking up speed--and rugged, jarring sections that will slow you down to navigate across. Along the way, you'll encounter 6 to 8 mountain water runoff creek beds to cross. During periods of rain or snowmelt, these creek crossings can transform into swiftly moving streams that are a few feet dee. Exercise caution and be prepared for varying conditions. Jackrabbit Run combines varying terrain with stunning mountain views, making it a must-ride for adventurers seeking a blend of ride options and natural beauty.
