Trail Overview

Mine Road is a very easy road that takes you from Skalkaho Rye Road to the old Crystal Mountain mines. Don't expect to go to the mines as it is private property, and there are gates. The road is almost entirely a smooth gravel surface with very few rocks, potholes, and washboards. There are quite a few water diversion rollers, which are pretty fun to go over with a little bit of speed. The road is two full-size vehicles wide almost the entire way. In a few places, it could even be three full-size vehicles wide. There are a few good pullouts along this road to get a good view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. This road will turn into Deer Meadows Trail if you continue east and that trail will put you back on Skalkaho Rye Road.
