Trail Overview

Trail 5702 is a nearly 3-mile ATV route that begins at Forest Road 5706A, immediately intersects with Trail #185, and continues east along a gradual, flat path across open grassy hillsides. The route follows an old forest road now designated for 50-inch vehicles, traversing the side of a mountain with expansive views, especially as it enters an old burn area. While there are no rock obstacles, riders should watch for potential downed trees, sometimes sticking halfway into the trail, and any hidden stumps or logs obscured by the grass. The trail is grassy and slightly overgrown, and appears less traveled. It's exposed on the hillside, but stays decently wide, so it remains an easy trail great for all skill levels. The south end ends at a dead end where the Connector trail drops off the edge of the hillside. You can take the connector trail to make this a loop with 5706A back to the Forest Service Road 5706.
