Trail Overview

This trail begins by entering a forested area. It alternates between narrow single-vehicle sections and wider stretches suitable for two vehicles. The surface is well-maintained gravel, and the route is long enough to provide a varied drive. Residences are located near the starting point, so caution is advised for local traffic. The trail is scenic, with several smaller trails branching off from the main route. At one point, it makes a sharp 90-degree turn to the right, after which the residential presence ends and the Road continues deeper into the forest. For part of its length, the trail runs alongside a parallel clearing with a drainage creek flowing beside it. Wildlife may be encountered in this section, and traffic is possible throughout the route. This trail runs between the Beltrami Island State Forest and the Beltrami Island WMA. The trail continues to wind through forested terrain, crossing Lund Trail, Clear River Trail, and several other routes along the way. It eventually reaches a residence near the end of the trail before connecting to a paved road. Drivers should pay attention to posted road signage, as there are vehicle restrictions in place. The trail offers no dispersed or formal campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal or a water supply, and cell service may be limited.
