Trail Overview
Otter Lake Trail is a scenic gravel road accessed from Arrowhead Trail and leads toward the reservation. The trail is wide enough for two vehicles to pass and winds gently through forested terrain with mild ascents and descents. Near its starting point, close to Arrowhead Trail, there is a lake with public water access and a rustic campsite located just off the main road. The campsite includes a fire ring and is positioned on slightly off-camber ground. The road surface is generally passable but features numerous potholes and large puddles, particularly in wetter conditions. The surrounding landscape appears to be regrowth forest, likely replanted following previous logging activity. As the trail continues, it leads to a small bridge over a weir, where calm water on one side contrasts with fast-moving current on the other. Just before the bridge, there is a second water access point and a well-used trailhead. There are no apparent residences along this trail. However, it lacks formal campsites, trash disposal, and potable water. Cell service may be intermittent or unavailable.
