Trail Overview
This narrow dirt trail winds through a quiet forest and is only minimally maintained, with sections of deep sand, uneven bumps, and areas of surface damage caused by recent storms. The route includes climbs and descents and passes a small lake before continuing on toward a peaceful boat launch. At the end of the trail, there is a spacious turnaround area that provides a good spot for a picnic and birdwatching, especially if the geese are out, but camping is not permitted in the area. A few smaller trails branch off the main route and may be navigable by compact off-road vehicles, though they appear to receive even less maintenance. There are no formal or dispersed campsites along the way, and visitors should not expect amenities such as trash bins or potable water. Cell service may be unreliable or completely absent in some stretches.
