Trail Overview
This trail is accessed via Forest Service Road 487A and consists of a mix of gravel and rock. It begins as an overgrown two-track that winds through dense forest, with moderate ascents and descents along its route. Some sections can be quite bumpy, muddy, and wet, especially after rainfall. The trail passes through a wetland area where standing water is common, which may require caution depending on the conditions. After crossing the wetland, the trail climbs again into the forest before ending at a closed gate. Just before the endpoint, another overgrown trail branches off at a split, though it appears less traveled. The trail is relatively short but offers a quiet, scenic drive through mature forest. Wildflowers are abundant in summer, and the mix of terrain adds some mild technical interest. While it can be an enjoyable outing for those prepared for uneven surfaces and wet sections, there are no formal campsites along the route and no available services. Trash disposal, potable water, and cell reception should not be expected.
