Trail Overview
The Fire Trail is exactly what its name says, a minimum maintenance State Forest road used for Forest Management and Fire prevention. The road conditions vary throughout the year due to weather and forestry operations. The trail is loose sand & gravel mixed with some small potholes and tighter sections. In the spring, the trail is wet and muddy; in the summer is dry and dusty. The trail is open year-round and can be accessed by any vehicle, ATV, OHV, or even a standard Pick-Up truck or stock jeep. It makes for a great light ride and can be completed within 30 minutes. Be cautious and pay attention to signage as logging operations may be occurring.
