Trail Overview
This trail begins off Clara Lake Road and makes its way toward Rice Lake along a narrow, unmaintained two-track path. The route is overgrown in many areas and features a mix of rocky, bumpy, and wet conditions. It winds through dense forest and crosses an elevated, waterlogged section near a small lake. Fallen trees may be encountered along the way, particularly after storms, and anyone attempting this trail should be prepared to clear debris--carrying a saw is recommended. The rough nature of the track makes it best suited for side-by-sides, ATVs, and compact four-wheel-drive vehicles. The trail eventually reaches an intersection where the surface becomes smoother and more passable. At this point, it is also possible to reconnect with the Pancore Loop, which continues as a narrow two-track. From the intersection, the main trail leads toward an active logging area and sections of private land. There are no formal campsites along the route, and amenities such as water and trash disposal are not available. Cell service is likely to be unreliable.
