Trail Overview

Trail 140B is a scenic offshoot accessed from Trail 140 and shows clear evidence of past logging activity, including open clearings and disturbed ground. The route begins as a mix of gravel and rock, with noticeable erosion and a series of ascents and descents, some of which are fairly steep. As the trail progresses, it narrows and reaches a small clearing before continuing to a second, more spacious clearing. At this point, two additional trails branch off, but both have been intentionally blocked with large boulders, preventing further access. The final clearing offers enough room to turn around and may be suitable for dispersed camping, though it is not formally designated. A small fire ring is present, suggesting occasional use. In July, the trail is lined with wildflowers, adding to its natural appeal as it winds through the forest. The trail does not provide formal campsites or basic services such as trash disposal or potable water. Cell service may be limited or unavailable.
