Trail Overview
Gum Springs Campground and Lookout Tower are at the south end of this trail. This trail starts south of Highway 156. Consisting of Carpenter Road, Bright Road, and Range road these maintained gravel roads offer a fun ride. Enjoy nature and wildlife viewing as you travel this section of forest. Cross Highway 84 into Gum Springs campground. Pit toilets, tent pads, water, and small RV sites are available for 10 dollars a night. (no electricity and water are only in 2 spots) There is a nice lake and picnic tables to enjoy at this nice park. It is a great place to stay the night before continuing through the rest of the forest.
