Trail Overview

Middle Mountain goes south from the intersection with Devil Mountain, on a similar intermediate-difficulty two-track trail through the forest. The northern beginning is pretty easy, winding through beautiful aspens on the mountaintop, but it gets rockier as it heads south. It has steep little hill climbs with embedded rock, loose rock, and roots that will add some difficulty and some sharp curves through the forest that keep you on your toes. There are lots of cut logs lining the trail, but it was clear of any downfall by autumn, as it's a popular trail. The unique part of this trail is riding over the face of big embedded boulders, that are kind of flat to the ground, so they are just small ramps up and over the rock, but kind of different than other areas. This trail gradually descends a bit down to the Connection trail that will take you out to Monument Park East Road. This trail is open 5/15 - 11/30 for motorized use.
