Trail Overview
Massey Branch is a fun single-track trail featuring a variety of terrain. The trail descends from North to South. The northern third of the trail has several steep rock features up to 2 feet in height. Many of these features are also on tight turns, making it more challenging. There is also a small shallow stream crossing. As the trail moves south, it becomes less wooded, and the southern two-thirds is fast and flowy with many fun turns, but it can be overgrown, especially later in the season. The terrain on the southern end tends to be more sandy as well. The northern end is accessed via the Mailbox Cutoff Trail, while the southern end intersects Mailbox Trail. This trail is great in either direction.
