Trail Overview
This road branches off from Road 375 and serves as the main access to the MTB/Hiking Vitamin B trailhead. This road is generally easy and accessible by almost any vehicle, but it is slightly harder than Road 375. The road surface is typical of the area--hardpack sandy dirt (that could get soft/muddy with rain/snow) covered with a loose layer of sand and gravel. Mostly smooth, the sandy and gravelly road presents few challenges, although you will find sections of embedded babyheads, occasional shallow ruts, and loose sand. There are a couple of steeper switchbacks, but they are not difficult. A 2WD vehicle might crawl through it. The Vitamin B trailhead is just over a mile in and can make for a nice little walk if you want to stretch your legs. The trailhead is also the highest point on the road, and the rest of the way continues in a similar (though less steep) fashion. The road offers some views of the mountains but dead-ends at a turnaround at the wilderness area boundary. You could wander around here, but there is no official hiking trail to follow.
