Trail Overview
Just south of Lizard Pass on Highway 145, this trail combines sections of Forest Service Roads 535 and 611 to take you to the Fish Creek area. It starts with a modest climb, but overall, it is a relatively easy drive on graded dirt roads. It should generally be accessible to 2WD vehicles unless heavy rain or light snow has impacted the area. The route is also wide enough in most places to safely pass oncoming vehicles and mountain bikers. There are multiple hiking trailheads and creeks along the way and established campgrounds. This route and area are famous for mountain biking. Be aware that cattle and sheep roam freely around the trail in several places, so drive cautiously.
