Trail Overview
Cement Mountain Trail is a 7-mile single-track in the Gunnison National Forest near Crested Butte, Colorado. It starts on the north end of Deadman Gulch, then continues south towards Roaring Judy Road. It starts out flowy through beautiful green meadows, side-hilling on a gradual slope of a mountainside. Then it gets into super steep rocky switchbacks with embedded slab rock and loose rocks covering the surface of the trail. Some of the rocks are more like ledges and require big moves while on a shelfy single track, with roots and boulders across the trail, making this a more challenging section. Some parts of the trail have ruts running down half of the trail. It opens up to a meadow again and smooths out after the switchbacks. This is a longer trail so it has a little bit of everything. It's fun and technical, with great scenery.
