Trail Overview
This trail is mostly through Pine Forest with some Aspen Groves. There are some good vistas for pictures. There are a few dispersed camping areas there is a nice one at the north end just before Tumble Creek. The trail has some steeper sections that can be tricky in the wintertime as the road is mostly on the north side of the mountain. Also watch out for areas where the road has wasted out along the gulch, hard to see when snowy. There is a water crossing at the north end where the road meets Tumble Creek Road. Seasonal closure from January 1 to June 1st for wildlife habitat.
Difficulty
Water crossing at north end is deep in spring up to 2' and impassable in winter due to Ice.
