Trail Overview
The Twin Joe Traverse is a single-lane trail that, at times, becomes overgrown. I hesitate to say paint damage is guaranteed, but it certainly is probable. There are sections of this trail that have erosion and water damage. There are wash crossings along this trail, with deep, soft, sand in the washes, and short steep entrances and exits. With all of this, there are still no major obstacles along this trail. The trail terminates on its East end at the Twin Joe Tank, a large dirt levee-type tank providing water for cattle and wildlife. There is little to no service out in this area, so offline maps are recommended.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained trail with erosion, water damage, and wash crossings. The wash crossings have deep soft sand with the potential of getting stuck. There is little room to pass and/or turn around. Remember, if you must leave the trail, to TREAD LIGHTLY as desert environments are fragile and prone to lasting damage.
