Trail Overview
Starting on the canyon floor this trail is reasonably flat and easy to navigate for a little over a half mile. Once you reach the back end of the canyon, you can turn back or head up the difficult switchbacks to the top of the cliffs. The switchbacks are no joke and it takes some skill and perseverance to get to the top, as the terrain is very rocky and steep in places. Once at the top, the trail turns left and up onto the top of the ridge. Then follow the trail down the ridge to eventually reconnect to the lower trails. As the case, in many areas, there are a couple of alternate routes up on top. Trail difficulty is assessed for the most difficult portion, which is the ascent up the back wall of the canyon.
