Trail Overview

This segment of trails is a fun and easy loop to introduce exploring the North Picacho Mountains. Traverse sandy, gravel, and slightly rocky trails through backcountry cactus forests with clear views of Newman Peak. Some good, flat dispersed camping spots with fire pits are present. This area is not especially busy, but you will see occasional other riders. There are lots of side trails, but this segment is the easiest. A good staging spot is on the southwest corner, near the large tan water tower. Please be sure to close all cattle gates behind you.

Beautiful trail and lots of saguaros. There is a steep incline about midway through but 4x4 and taking it slow no issues with a stock jeep height and standard 31 tires. This is going to become a favorite trail of ours.

Access Description

Either ride the Eloy Canal Trail or South Brady Pump Road to stage at the water tower.
