Trail Overview

This 16.9-mile trail takes you up into the scenic Music Mountains with great views of the Kingman Valley. Starting at the southern end, you will travel up a large wash. There is overgrowth along this section of the trail that may cause pin-stripping. Obstacles up to 12 inches in height will be found along this section of the trail. The climb out of the wash is scattered with loose rock and gravel along a narrow shelf road. Once on the mountain mesa, the trail becomes easier. There is a hill climb with loose rock and gravel at the Grapevine Tank. The remainder of the trail runs through the juniper with great expansive views of the surrounding area. The northern end of the trail passes through private land that may sometimes be locked (usually during hunting season, as this is a very popular hunting area for elk and deer).
