Trail Overview

Johnnie Walker is a fun singletrack through the Laguna hills that has a mix of side-hilling, spine riding, and rocky washes. It descends gradually from east to west, dropping almost 300 feet in elevation over 1.7 miles, as it descends from the hilltops to the valley below. On the hilltops, it's a very narrow trail riding across a surface of packed loose rocks and dirt. There are large ruts and washouts to watch out for during the descent off the hilltop, as well as spiky cactus encroaching into the trail. It drops down to ride through little ravines that are a mix of sand and larger rocks. The trail crosses a large ravine on a narrow bridge that is situated several feet high above the trail without any railings - this could be intimidating for less experienced riders. Overall, it's a very scenic and engaging route that easily connects to some of the other singletracks in the area.
