Trail Overview
Trail 2022 runs in a generally north-south direction in the Dutchman Draw OHV area. It's a beautiful part of Northern AZ/Southern Utah with blooming cacti and flowers. Here you get a wonderful contrast between the red sand mountains and trails and the white or gray mountains and trails. It runs parallel to the Sunshine Trail, but it's less traveled. During late April, we didn't see a soul out here. There is some rock in the trail, but nothing challenging. It's a nice easy trail. To the north, in the distance, you see the snowy Trail, Signal, and Burger Peaks. In the foreground, it's Sand Mountain. You can fill a day exploring this area, so bring extra fuel and extra snacks, and water. This a great area to ride year-round because the snow that lands here never stays very long, and it's a bit above the desert floor so not quite so hot in the summertime. Starting Feb 2023, Utah began enforcement of its new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will pop up. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal. Good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.

Difficulty
Every low spot, after a hard rain, will be a water crossing as these hills get runoff from lots of places above. Other than that, nothing hard.
