Trail Overview
Via de Acceso al Poste de Energia or Power Pole Access Road. This two-way split dirt road is the access road to many trails in the backcountry south of San Felipe. It is split by the power lines that run up and down the middle of the road. The road closest to Highway 5 is mostly driven by four-wheeled vehicles, and the other road is mostly run by motorcycles. At some point, this road will open for residential development, as you will see water line valves run parallel to the road. The road does offer pretty views of the surrounding mountains to the west and the Sea of Cortez to the east.

Difficulty
The trail is sandy. Sometimes it can be graded. But there are many crossing paths and it has been used by the Baja 250 to access the backcountry sections, so uneven and abrupt changes can occur.
